"I'm currently placed at The Ottawa Hospital, General Campus, and am very grateful for this experience for a few reasons.

As my family is here, it's nice to be home for the summer, but also this has been an important placement in terms of networking, as I'm leaning toward returning to this city after I graduate.

Also, many of the OTs here are graduates of another university, and I'm learning to both appreciate our differences of outlook and our similarities. Both of my preceptors are very interested in our OT program, and I believe, as they mostly have students from their catchment university, they're enjoying learning about our program and have commented that it's nice to have 'fresh' ideas here.

Finally, as my two previous placements were with the same hospital network, I'm enjoying learning about a new system, which I think is important when considering where to work in the future."
